The Hendersonville Fire Department is professional fire service

dedicated to the citizens of Hendersonville. The city's

volunteer service started around 1970 and in 1975

became a full time paid department.

The department serves over 50,000 people within the city limits

and responds from 6 fire stations.

In addition to the Chief, we have 3 Division Chiefs, a Deputy Chief,

a Fire Marshal, 4 Fire Inspectors,

2 administrative staff and 94 fire suppression personnel.

We respond to fire and EMS calls as well as incidents involving

haz-mat, rescue and extrication.
