Senior Firefighter Troy Bishop

Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?

I have always found a great feeling of fulfillment in

helping people in need as well as facing and

overcoming challenging situations. 

In joining HFD, I enjoy the best of both.     

What do you like most about the Hendersonville Fire Department?

What I probably enjoy most are the opportunities

for growth and personal development.  We are

encouraged to take various classes to continually

learn new skills and improve upon existing

skills and practices.

What is the most significant development in your career?

That would most likely be my recent promotion

to Senior Firefighter.  It has allowed me to exercise

a greater scope of responsibilities and apply

much of what I have learned.

Any community activities?

I attend Life Church of Indian Lake where I serve on the Host Team.

  What are your future plans?

To continue serving the community.  I want to add to the

skill sets I currently have and to continually become more

effective as a member of HFD.  I will continue to take on all

challenges with the Faith that God has a plan for us all.

Children – Troy Bishop Jr.,

Matt Bishop, Ashleigh Rhodes, Andrea Bishop

and Avery Gibbs

 I have been blessed with a wonderful family,

a strong Faith and a career that I truly enjoy  doing.

God is good!!
