Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?

I joined the Hendersonville Fire Department in 1974 with the hopes

of helping others in their time of need.  I enjoy being a

part of watching our city grow and knowing that I have

played a part in that development.

What do you like most about the Hendersonville Fire Department?

  What I like most about the HFD is definitely my working relationship

with all the city employees. 

What is the most significant development in your career?

I’ll have to say that throughout my career the most significant

development would have to be my expertise on Thermal

Cameras and being a part of helping to ensure better

safety requirements with the equipment. 

Any community activities?

I am very involved with my church and love coaching Little

League Baseball.  Other hobbies include golfing and

working with children. 

 What are your future plans?

At this time I have no major changes other than just getting

my son through college and getting back to coaching

Little League Baseball.  I enjoy spending time with my

wife of 30 years, Karen and my son Mickey

who is attending Union College in Jackson.
