Firefighter John Lindsey

Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?

To serve the community and be a part of saving lives and property.  

What do you like most about the Hendersonville Fire Department?

Going to schools and daycares to teach children

about fire safety.  The children are our future and

instilling fire safety in them is very important.

What is the most significant development in your career?

Becoming a part of a “TEAM”!!  Working together

with other firefighters and with EMS personnel is

very instrumental in being a good firefighter.

Any community activities?

I have been involved in many fund raising events

such as United Way and collecting for Jerry’s Kids every year.

  What are your future plans?

I plan to retire soon and spend lots of time with

family and friends.  I am engaged to a beautiful lady,

but we haven’t yet set a date.
