Senior Firefighter, EMT Jeremy Jones

Why did you join the Hendersonville Fire Department?
After 5 years service with the Marine Corps was
completed, I wanted to continue in a career
of helping others. The USMC gave me a sense
of duty and a need was instilled in me.
The Hendersonville Fire Department has definitely
enabled me to continue a career of serving others
which is very gratifying.
What do you like most about the Hendersonville Fire Department?
The men I currently work with are great in showing
teamwork. Also each day offers new challenges!!
What is the most significant development in your career?
I was happy to reach the 15 year mark in
my career. Over the past 15 years as a
Senior Firefighter, I have been privileged to
help and protect all the citizens in the
Hendersonville area. I couldn’t ask for a better
group of men to share a shift with.
The support shown to each other is amazing
when it comes to teamwork.
Any community activities?
I look forward to another 15 years of serving the
Hendersonville Fire Department and gratefully
accept the nomination of being Firefighter
of the month. I look forward to the future
challenges this career holds for me.
What are your future plans?
I plan to continue training and teaching.
I hope to play an increasing role in the development
of the fire department in the coming years.
