Firefighter Ed Budge Honored by Hendersonville VFW Post 9851

On Saturday, October 3, 2009, the Hendersonville VFW Post 9851
held their annual Public Services Recognition Day. Local law enforcement,
EMS and fire personnel were acknowledged and thanked for their
service to our community.
Ed Budge was selected by the VFW as their Firefighter of the Year for 2009.
Ed has served with our department since June of 1993. He is a state certified
First Responder, Journeyman Firefighter and Haz Mat Technician.
He is assigned to Engine #1 and stationed at Firehouse #1 on Luna Lane.
Ed also served as a Sergeant in the Army from July 21, 1981 until
March 4, 1988 where he received two Army achievement medals and
two Army good conduct medals. We are proud of you Ed
and thank you for your service to our country and our department.
